Spc Bowe R. Bergdahl, 23, |
Spc Bowe R. Bergdahl was with the 1st Battalion, 501st Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division and he was serving at a base near the border with Pakistan in an area known to be a Taliban stronghold.
He was captured on June 30 of 2009.

Their other sources inform them that he was captured by a Taliban group led by Maulvi Sangin, who has moved him to Ghazni Province.
